Round 2 of the MXGP World Championship took place this weekend on the doorstep of the Bike It MTX Kawasaki HQ, as Team Manager Steve Dixon donned two hats to also organise the prestigious MXGP of Great Britain.

In timed practice, Todd and Hammal picked up 17th and 19th respectively, which would make starts hard as they moved into the first race. With neither rider getting a great start both put the hammer down on their KX250’s and charged through the pack, with Todd picking up his first top 10 finish in 10th place, and Hammal shortly behind in 12th position.

In race two a similar performance from Todd saw him pick up an 11th, a consistent finish rewarding him with 8th overall. For Hammal, disaster struck as he encountered goggle issues and had to endure a grueling fight to eventually pick up 20th, which with his 12th would give him 18th overall.

The Team now heads straight to Italy for round three at the legendary Maggiora track.
